Getting ready for Spring

Mark the date - Saturday, April 21 - come to the cabin and chip in as we ready the buildings and grounds for the spring school field trips. Bring a rake, some gloves or just yourself. The work is not too hard, the people are an absolute joy and I bet there will be some food. Start time - 9 AM. Pass it on.

Hey Teachers! ... still time ... Gahagan Weasels into Your Class with WOW !

Let Gahagan's Environmental Educator, Tom Dale, enrich your classroom again this year with one of his great programs on our natural world ... a program that entertains but with a purpose.

This year's theme is the natural history of weasels or better yet, Wonders of Weasels (WOW).  Sponsored by Kirtland Community College and the Marguerite Gahagan Nature Preserve, all you have to do is contact Tom! ... the program is free and it comes to you! But get going, there are 36 slots total for this 50 to 60 minute program and they are first come - first served. Dates are from February 13 to April 10, 2012.

Interested? Click here for all the details and contact information.

February Pine Whispers

February has started warm - okay the whole winter has been warm! Maybe it was a bit colder at the cabin in February 1964. Check out Marguerite's Pine Whispers column and see what was happening. Click here.

Fall Newsletter

The Fall, Gahagan Preserve newsletter is still available for on-line viewing.

We publish news to our members each Spring and Fall. The on-line version has color photos. In the long run, we hope to save paper, printing and mailing by reducing the traditional way of informing you. The first step is to casually ask "would like to receive the newsletter on-line?" If so, send an email to adm@gahagannature.org. We'll take you off the mailing list and send you email notice with an attached newsletter file. Make sure your spam filter is set to accept gahagannature.org mailings. Things will be greener and Gahagan will save some needed dough.

Let Us Know!
