ENVIROMENTAL EDUCATION

Gahagan Preserve provides both outdoor and indoor learning opportunities to school groups in a four-county area.

For many years now, elementary and middle school groups have enjoyed visiting the Marguerite Gahagan Nature Preserve to learn about their environment. Tom Dale, our environmental educator, conducts special field learning adventures in both Fall and Spring. Young students are treated to hands-on activities using the Preserve's land and features and Tom's array of animal an plant items. These unique opportunities are always popular and usually fill up. Interested? Contact us at info@gahagannature.org or through the other means listed on the Contact Us link.

Tom can also help your school host its own environmental education programs. He provides Environmental Learning of the Future (ELF) programs and kits to area schools and Visiting Naturalist programs as well. And Tom's credentials are impeccable. He not only has conducted these programs for Gahagan for many years, he has taught at virtually every education level. The kids love him.
